What Carrier Verification Statuses Mean

The Verified Carrier platform includes several verification statuses that indicate the level of verification a carrier has completed. These statuses help users assess a carrier’s onboarding progress with Verified Carrier and also the outcome of the verification process.

This document provides an overview of what these different verification status mean.

1. Verified

The carrier has passed all verification requirements.

What this means:

  • Fully verified and trusted carrier.

  • All key documents and information have been successfully verified.


2. Verified*

The carrier has passed all verification requirements, but the verification team uncovered concerns that require caution.

What this means:

  • There are concerns that we are not able to verify at the moment.

  • This carrier is not recommended for high-value or hot commodity shipments.

  • Additional details can be found in the Vetting Insights section of the carrier profile.


3. Ownership Confirmed

The carrier passed all verification requirements for ownership identity. Fleet requirements are still outstanding.

What this means:

  • The legal owner's identity is confirmed, but fleet and insurance information are still pending verification.

  • Fleet and insurance information may be delayed due to turnaround from insurance.


4. Pending

The carrier has submitted a verification application or is undergoing re-verification due to updated company information, and the vetting process is still ongoing.

What this means:

  • Stakeholders are awaiting verification results.

  • Not yet classified as a verified carrier.


5. Suspended

The carrier’s profile is temporarily suspended due to key data changes, opt-out, and/or other factors.

What this means:

  • The carrier may have changed critical company information.

  • The carrier may have opted out of monitoring.

  • Recommended that this carrier undergo re-verification to restore status before hauling loads.


6. Locked

The carrier’s profile is locked due to data security concerns.

What this means:

  • The carrier's data was compromised, and they manually locked their profile to prevent fraud.

  • Access to this carrier's profile is restricted for security reasons.

  • Brokers should contact Verified Carrier for valid carrier details.


7. Failed Verification

The carrier failed verification due to fraudulent information.

What this means:

  • The carrier provided false or misleading data during the onboarding process.

  • A trusted industry source has flagged the carrier as fraudulent.

  • Until a better Verification Status is obtained, brokers shouldn't use this carrier.


8. Not Provided

The carrier has not started the verification process.

What this means:

  • All data available for this carrier is public unverified data, which may or may not be outdated.

  • No documents or verification data have been submitted.

  • The carrier must initiate verification to proceed.

  • It’s recommended that brokers looking to work with this carrier invite them to get verified.
